Description
Join an admin team that delivers guidance to staff and motivates their division. Activity Leaders are in charge of day-to-day operations of the program which includes meetings, parking lot duties, working with behavioral staff, set-up and clean-up of activities, lunch patrol, general camp supervision, management of staff, and completing end of the summer evaluations. Must be able to create and execute “Big Fun Time (BFT)” events weekly throughout the summer.

Essential Functions
- Act as a positive role model and leader for summer camp staff.
- Provide feedback and assessment of staff and camp program.
- Fulfill roles by assisting with and participating in all program activities (i.e. opening day special events, theme days, last day special events, etc.)
- Create exciting activity plans for all afternoon scheduling for your groups (i.e. Big Fun Time (BFT) and Special Events).
- Provide motivation by organizing social staff events and incentives.
- Communicate and rally staff on all camp happenings.
- Ensure your activities have necessary equipment and supplies ready to go when needed.
- Organize and implement all group activities on rainy days.
- Work with the behavioral team to coach and mentor counselors and campers.

- Supervise Division Camp Site Cleanup throughout the day.

Description
Must provide activities, incentives, and discipline methods for challenging behaviors in our “Zen Zone”. Use Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) techniques to create a positive, nurturing environment that will help them succeed in a camp setting, build relationships with children, and develop new skills with peers and counselors. Candidates are required to have the ability to access and provide behavioral plans, incorporate SEL techniques, and have good communication with staff. Description
Responsible for taking and gathering all camp photos and events for parent communication and distributing this information in a fun exciting way. This position will also be responsible for the use of multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Waldo). Photography, videography, and editing experience required. - Create a farewell end of season Camp Video to send to parents.

Specialty Day Camp Counselors

The Dance and Cheer program incorporates warmups and stretching along with skill development of dance and cheer from 9:30AM-11:00AM. Cheerleading is built upon cheer and choreographed dance elements. This group practices routines, designed by the Dance and Cheer Counselor, that will become polished while working on timing and execution. After their morning hour and a half session, this group joins the Day Camp program for afternoon activities and swimming. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in cheer, choreography, and coaching and have worked with a group of 15 children that are 4th – 7th grade.

After the morning hour and a half session, this group joins the Day Camp program for afternoon activities and swimming. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for esports/gaming that would enjoy working with a group of 10 children that are 4th – 7th grade.

Half-Day Day Camp Opportunities
Description
Responsible for the set up, facilitation and breakdown of Morning Rotation activities with the support of counselors. Areas of activities are art, environmental science, STEM, archery, and field games. Other duties include lunch supervision and patrol, inventory, and organization of supplies, and assist with camper drop-off in the morning.

- Prepare for rain days with exciting and engaging activities, and support Activity Leaders.

Description

In this half-day academic enrichment program, campers will continue the learning through the summer in math, science, and reading comprehension. Other duties include curriculum development for each camper and assist with camper drop-off in the morning.

SKOR (Special Kids Organized Rec) Counselor
Description
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Provides direct supervision of up to 3 children with special needs that are going into 1st-7th grade throughout the day. Creates positive, nurturing relationships with children, while building cooperative relationships with parents/caregivers. Promotes and supports the potential of campers and facilitates peer-to-peer connections as part of the overall camp experience. The role of a SKOR Counselor is to manage behaviors, introduce inclusive programing throughout the day, running small group activities, participate, build relationships and have fun while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child. Must have experience working with children with special needs.

- Evaluate and identify camper needs.
- Execute behavior plan for campers with challenging behaviors.
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining an environment conducive to camp.
- Ensure that follow-up communication is completed with your assigned Behavioral Specialist.
- Familiarize yourself with campers’ history/files/medications.
- Create and execute incentive programs with your Behavioral Specialist.
- Work with team to ensure inclusion of all children.
- Communicate positively and professionally.
- Give positive direction and set reasonable accommodation with your campers.
- Utilize our “Zen Zone” space when needed.
- Use common sense and good judgment in all situations to keep children safe and happy.
- Participate in all camp activities.
- Understand camper needs and customize their schedule.
- Work cooperatively with the admin team.
- Must participate in staff training.
