Despite the rainy spring and one postponed start, the Earth Day Volunteer event was finally realized on Saturday, May 4th. Twenty volunteers came to the Y to celebrate Earth Day by donating their time and sweat to help prepare the wooded area behind the Y for summer camp. In addition to the campers, both members and non-members also enjoy the natural beauty of this area. Several yards of wood chips were spread throughout as the volunteers used shovels, rakes, and wheel barrows.
