Rotation Schedule:

Y-Staff:

Cara Cherepakhov

Counselor

Hi! My name is Cara Cherepakhov. I graduated from Mountain Lakes High School Class of 2017 and just completed my freshman year at Syracuse University. I am studying elementary education and hope to become a third grade teacher in the future. I have been babysitting since I was 13 so I have a lot of experience with kids. As a child I also attended many day camps over the summer so I have first hand experience in how enjoyable these camps can be. I can’t wait to get to know all of the kids and have a fun, amazing summer!

Kristen Weber

Counselor

Hi! My name is Kristen and this is my second summer working for the YMCA. I’m an incoming junior at Johnson and Wales University where I study Culinary Arts. While at school, I play recreation soccer. I love to garden with my grandmother and going to the beach on the weekends. I can’t wait to see everyone this summer at camp!

Jill Catlett

Specialist - Interactive Tech Time

Hello! My name is Jill Catlett and I am the Interactive Tech Time Specialist. This is my fourth year working at the LHYMCA. In the past, I have been a counselor for Group 6. I am so excited for my first year working as a specialist. I have created and planned new engaging and interactive games/activities for my rotation. I graduated from Susquehanna University majoring in Elementary Education. I love working with kids and am excited to enjoy camp 2018!

Greg Pizzano

Specialist - Environmental Science

You may recognize me from the pool deck or camp last year, as I have been working for the Y for the past 6 years. I grew up here at the Y beginning in pre-K, going to camp and volunteering through Leaders Club. I am currently a rising senior at Penn State University, majoring in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management. During the school year, I work as an Environmental Educator for Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center and Penn State’s Outdoor School.  I have taught programs that provide children with a positive outdoor education experience as they learn about the natural world through hands-on lessons and guided exploration.  I am excited to take the experiences I have gained in school during my time as the Environmental Science Specialist this summer!

Steve Lauto

Specialist - Fun & Fitness

Hi, I’m Steve, the Fun & Fitness specialist here at the Lakeland Hills YMCA Summer Camp. This will be summer number nine spent here at the Y.  When I’m not at camp, I spend my days in school.  I’ve been a public school teacher in NJ for the last 19 years, eight of which were spent coaching HS basketball. I’m an avid runner and love all sports, both watching and participating. In my spare time I enjoy spending  with my beautiful daughter, doing anything and everything that makes her smile.   I look forward to another great summer here at camp.

Eileen Racioppi

Specialist - Arts & Crafts

My name is Eileen Racioppi and I am an art teacher at Montville Township High School.  I received my B.F.A. at the University of South Florida and then attended The School of Visual Arts in New York for Graphic Design.  I was a Graphic Designer/ Illustrator and Art Director before I became a teacher.  Because of my love for children and my passion for Art, I am living the dream teaching.  This will be my second year at Summer Camp and I am excited share my knowledge and passion with the campers!
