Y-Staff:

Kevin Dauber

Counselor

Hi, my name is Kevin Dauber and this will be my second year working as a summer camp counselor for the Lakeland Hills YMCA. I loved working here last summer and cannot wait to come back! To share a little bit about myself, this upcoming school year, I will be a sophomore at Seton Hall University, majoring in business finance and minoring in economics. Although I am not exactly sure what I want to do post-graduation, I have faith that I will have a fulfilling future in business if I do my utmost in the present. Beyond business, I have taken an interest in the study of philosophy, religion, and history. Outside of my studies, I enjoy working out, listening to music, having intellectual conversations, and hanging out with friends. I have played sports all throughout my childhood and continue to live an active lifestyle, so being able to work in an environment in which I can engage (with my campers) in an assortment of activities will be so much fun! All in all, I am looking forward to working at the Y this summer.

Steve Lauto

Specialist - Fun & Fitness

Hi, I’m Steve, the Fun & Fitness specialist here at the Lakeland Hills YMCA Summer Camp. This will be summer number nine spent here at the Y.  When I’m not at camp, I spend my days in school.  I’ve been a public school teacher in NJ for the last 19 years, eight of which were spent coaching HS basketball. I’m an avid runner and love all sports, both watching and participating. In my spare time I enjoy spending  with my beautiful daughter, doing anything and everything that makes her smile.   I look forward to another great summer here at camp.

Marissa DeNicola

Specialist - Togetherhood

Hi! My name is Marissa and I am the Togetherhood Specialist at the Y. I graduated from Verona High School and then graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time with family/friends, and going to the beach. I love all types of music- but 3 bands I will never get sick of are: The Beatles, Mumford & Sons, and The Lumineers. This is my second summer working at the YMCA with such amazing staff and campers!

Greg Pizzano

Specialist - Environmental Science

You may recognize me from the pool deck or camp last year, as I have been working for the Y for the past 6 years. I grew up here at the Y beginning in pre-K, going to camp and volunteering through Leaders Club. I am currently a rising senior at Penn State University, majoring in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management. During the school year, I work as an Environmental Educator for Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center and Penn State’s Outdoor School.  I have taught programs that provide children with a positive outdoor education experience as they learn about the natural world through hands-on lessons and guided exploration.  I am excited to take the experiences I have gained in school during my time as the Environmental Science Specialist this summer!

Eileen Racioppi

Specialist - Arts & Crafts

My name is Eileen Racioppi and I am an art teacher at Montville Township High School.  I received my B.F.A. at the University of South Florida and then attended The School of Visual Arts in New York for Graphic Design.  I was a Graphic Designer/ Illustrator and Art Director before I became a teacher.  Because of my love for children and my passion for Art, I am living the dream teaching.  This will be my second year at Summer Camp and I am excited share my knowledge and passion with the campers!
