Welcome to the Group 6 for Senior Girls!
Below you will find the counselors and staff that will be with your kids at summer day camp. You'll also find the schedule specific to this group so you can see what your kids are doing at camp!
Hi, my name is Katrina Hospes and I am a new camp counselor at the YMCA! I used to be a camper here, and I am so excited to come back and work here! I am a recent graduate of Mount Saint Dominic Academy in Caldwell, and I will be attending the University of Maryland in the fall to study genetics and possibly psychology! Prior to being a counselor, I worked at the ShopRite in Parsippany, and I also volunteered at the Mountain Lakes Public Library. At the library, I was a librarian’s assistant and I also ran a summer reading program for kids. During this program, I was a part of “book buddies” with kindergarteners and first graders, where I helped teach them to read. I also worked with second, third, and fourth graders in a book club, where we discussed weekly books we read, and I, along with a partner, conducted activities that pertained to these books. I’m really excited to come back to camp, and I can’t wait to be a counselor!
Hi I’m Morgan and I am currently a junior at Saint Joseph’s University. I am an International Business major, and soon will be a double major in Food Marketing as well. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, traveling, spending time with friends, visiting new places, and in the fall I will be studying abroad in Florence, Italy. I attended the YMCA summer camp when I was little for many years and it always was the best part of my summers. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a camp counselor this summer and plan on it being the best one yet!

I can’t wait to bring Fun and Fitness to a whole new level here at camp and make it the best summer yet!
Specialist - Environmental Science
You may recognize me from the pool deck or camp last year, as I have been working for the Y for the past 6 years. I grew up here at the Y beginning in pre-K, going to camp and volunteering through Leaders Club. I am currently a rising senior at Penn State University, majoring in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management. During the school year, I work as an Environmental Educator for Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center and Penn State’s Outdoor School. I have taught programs that provide children with a positive outdoor education experience as they learn about the natural world through hands-on lessons and guided exploration. I am excited to take the experiences I have gained in school during my time as the Environmental Science Specialist this summer!
Specialist - Arts & Crafts
Hi! This is my fourth summer as an Arts/Crafts Specialist at the Lakeland Hills YMCA. I am so excited once again to be introducing campers to artists and art techniques. I have a BFA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Psychology, as well as an MA in Education with Special Education certification from Caldwell University. Over the years, working as a graphic designer, a floral designer, an elementary school art teacher, and an art specialist at the Y have kept my creativity alive! Parsippany Troy Hills School District is my employer during the school year. But, during the summer, I get to combine my two great passions—art and teaching. I look forward to working once again with the fantastic staff at the YMCA and hope to make art fun and rewarding for all the campers!
