Inclement Weather Reminders:

The winter months schools may have closings, early dismissals or delayed openings due to inclement weather.

  • If school closes, there is no Kids Club on that day.
  • If there is a delayed opening, the morning care program will be cancelled for that day, however, after school kids club will run as scheduled.
  • If there is an early dismissal, there will be morning care for that school, but Kids Club     in the afternoon will be cancelled.

Please be sure to plan accordingly if one of the above scenarios occurs this winter.

Shannon Quinn | Staff | Lakeland Hills Family YMCAI graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Children, Youth and Family. I have vast experience at Lakeland Hills Y in all capacities dealing with children and am dedicated to their well-being. I have my K through 8th grade certification in teaching. I worked in our childcare center from 2000-2004 as a Head Teacher while serving as a Half Day Camp Head Counselor during the summers. In 2005 I was promoted to the After School Childcare Director, managing the “Kids Club” program while assisting the Camp Director during the summer months. I was then promoted to Summer Day Camp Director in 2008. In 2010, I was given the role of supervising both the Kids Club Afterschool Program and the Camp Program at the YMCA. In 2015, when both the camp and after school programs expanded, my role changed again allowing me more time to focus on planning and preparation for the summer camp program while still assisting with the Kids Club After School Program. I am extremely committed to working with children to bring out the best in them and making sure they have fun!
