Hello, my name is Chelsea Arena. I have recently graduated from Southeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology: Exercise Science. I have over 10 years experience working with children, which has really taught me a lot and I love teaching them new things every day. I started working at the Y two years ago and could not be more excited to continue this journey.

Hawika Lando

Support Staff

Hi my name is Hawika Lando. I am currently a student at Passaic County Community College. After I have completed my three years at PCCC, I would love too to continue my education at a four-year university. I am studying education so in the future I can become a teacher for middle school or elementary. I wanted to work for the YMCA because it has a variety of opportunities to get more experience working with kids. I have worked with kids for two years going on three in a few months. Another reason why I started working for the YMCA is because I really love to help people. My hobbies are sports because throughout my life I have always played sports and I enjoyed it the most.

Rachel Weidanz

Support Staff

Hello, my name is Rachel Weidanz and I am 19 years old. I am currently enrolled at Montclair State University as a Sophomore, and I am studying Education. I have been working with children for the past two years and love nothing more. Children bring me such joy, and to be able to make a difference in their lives is a great feeling. My interests are spending time with my family, baking, riding bikes, and being able to make memories with my closest friends. Over the summer I worked at the YMCA Camp as a Counselor and it was an amazing experience. I was able to work with the children all day and see them learn more over the past two months. After school, I hope to become a 1st grade teacher and help children see how important their education is. Also, I want to help them realize that they can make a difference and they will matter in the world.
