Breanne Megna

AM Site Director

Hello, my name is Breanne and I have lived in New Jersey all my life. I am currently a special education teacher during the school year but not your average teacher. I also worked this past summer in the YMCA LIT Camp Program. I enjoy hiking, biking, crafts, games, traveling, the beach and much more. I am looking forward to a great year with your children at morning care!

Megan Brennan

My name is Megan and I am thrilled to be joining Kids Club. I am a graduate of Kean University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Fine Arts. While in college, I worked at the Fanwood/Scotch Plains YMCA in aftercare as well as in the summer camp program. For the last ten years, I have been working at The Goddard School as Assistant Director, teaching preschoolers, Pre-K, and Kindergarten. I enjoy traveling, taking pictures, spending time outdoors, and being with my family. My husband and I have been married for six years and we have two dogs.

Chelsea Arena

AM Support Staff

Hello, my name is Chelsea Arena. I have recently graduated from Southeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology: Exercise Science. I have over 10 years experience working with children, which has really taught me a lot and I love teaching them new things every day. I started working at the Y in January and could not be more excited to continue this journey.

Heather Devine

Co-Director PM

Hello! My name is Heather and I am excited to return to Kids Club for another year. This is my fifth year of working Kids Club with the YMCA. I enjoy working with kids because it’s very rewarding to help them in a health and fitness manner. As a kid, health and fitness was never taught as well as it should be and I wish I knew more when I was younger. In my spare time I enjoy working out by doing yoga and CrossFit. I just graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a minor in Studio Art. I spent this last summer working for the Girl Scouts Summer Camp as the Arts and Crafts Specialist and I can’t wait to show kids club all the fun activities I learned along the way!

Raquel Aveta

PM Support Staff

Hi, my name is Raquel Aveta and I can’t wait to work yet another year at Kids Club! I am a junior at Pequannock Township High school and my hobbies include playing basketball and hanging out with my friends. Can’t wait to have another great year at Aaron Decker Elementary!

Alyakim Meadows

PM Support Staff

My name is Alyakim Meadows and I am a 24 year-old college student who has worked with children for eight years. Over the last few years, I have worked at Spring Lake Day Camp as well as my local Y in Wayne, NJ. As a “Y” kid myself, I will always remember the impact and positive influence my counselors made on me as a child. Now as an adult, it is my time to make sure I give back the same experience and positivity to your children.

Charlie Western

PM Sub

I am a third-year student at Ramapo College of New Jersey studying social science and getting my certification in teaching elementary education. I enjoy playing sports, hiking, and playing guitar. This is my second year working at the Lakeland Hills YMCA, but I have been working with children several years before becoming a part of the Y staff.

Lori Loughlin

PM Sub

Hi! I completed four summers as an Arts/Crafts Specialist at the Lakeland Hills YMCA camp. I am so excited to help at Kids Club. I have a BFA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Psychology, as well as an MA in Education with Special Education certification from Caldwell University. Over the years, working as a graphic designer, a floral designer, an elementary school art teacher, and an art specialist at the Y have kept my creativity alive! Parsippany Troy Hills School District is my employer during the school year. But, during the summer, I get to combine my two great passions—art and teaching. I look forward to working once again with the fantastic staff at the YMCA!

Cole Hopler

My name is Cole Hopler, I am 21 years old and am going to County College of Morris this upcoming fall to continue towards my teaching degree. Two of main hobbies in life are sports and working with children of all ages. For the past four summers I’ve worked at Summer Plus Camp in Denville, and taught baseball lessons to kids briefly at The Baseball Station during the winter of my junior year at Morris Knolls High School. I would like to help make a positive impact on kids lives whether it’s at camp, here at Kids Club, or as a teacher in the future. The best memory that I have from anything camp related when I was younger was when I used to go the baseball camp that Morris Knolls hosted in the summers for young kids to attend. There was one coach in particular named Casey Elias, and he was one the main reasons why I fell in love with the game of baseball and still play to this day. It made my camp experience fun and memorable. I would like to one day leave a long lasting impression on someone’s life like Casey had on mine.
