The Lakeland Hills Family YMCA is committed to protecting the health and well-being of our members, staff, and community. We are always proactive in our health and safety measures, and to ensure that they are consistent with the latest public health recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and local public health authorities. As you may know, COVID-19 levels have increased in Morris County to a substantial level on the CDC scale. These heightened levels put unvaccinated individuals at greatest risk and vaccinated individuals can possibly transmit the virus.
As a result, how you experience our Y will be evolving in the coming days and weeks. Consistent with the latest guidelines, we are encouraging all members to voluntarily wear face coverings while they are in our facility regardless of their vaccination status. Currently, all children ages 2-12 are required to wear face coverings while they are in the building.
Individuals engaging in aerobic exercise (Cycling, etc.) who want to remove their face coverings can do so, but are encouraged to maximize the spacing between themselves and others around them as much as possible. We will continue to monitor the situation and CDC recommendations, and amend our policies as required.
Thank you for your patience with this evolving situation.
