MORE BASKETBALL AHEAD
Build the skills now. Put them into action during league play.
Basketball continues throughout the year at the Y with opportunities for players to take what they have learned in our clinics and experience the excitement of playing as part of a team.
YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUES
In Partnership with Triple Threat Hoops
Our seasonal basketball leagues give young athletes the opportunity to develop their game through team practices and competition in a positive, supportive environment.
Players continue building dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, defense, footwork, and game awareness while learning teamwork, sportsmanship, and what it means to contribute to a team.
Through our partnership with Triple Threat Hoops, players benefit from experienced coaching focused on skill development, confidence, and a positive basketball experience.
League dates, age divisions, schedules, and registration information will be available as each season approaches.
MORE THAN A GAME
Basketball at the Y is about more than learning how to dribble, pass, and shoot. It is an opportunity for young athletes to achieve new goals, experience the belonging that comes from being part of a team, and build relationships with teammates and coaches.
Players learn to compete, support one another, handle challenges, and grow in confidence on and off the court.

BASKETBALL & THE YMCA
Where the Game Began. Where Kids Still Grow.
Basketball has deep roots in the YMCA. The game was created in 1891 by Dr. James Naismith at a YMCA training school as a way to keep young people active, engaged, and working together.
Today, Youth Basketball at Lakeland Hills YMCA continues that tradition by helping kids learn the game, build confidence, develop teamwork, and experience the achievement, belonging, and relationships that make sports meaningful.
Whether your child is just learning to dribble or ready for league play, our basketball programs create a supportive place to grow on and off the court.
