There's always something going on at the Lakeland Hills Family YMCA, whether you're a child, family, teen, adult or older adult, we have plenty of fun activities for you! And, many are open to non-members!

Lesson Times: 3:30, 4:00, 4:30, or 5:00 p.m.

Thirty-minute private swim lessons for ages 4 (potty trained) through 13 years are available during breaks from our normal programming. Non-members welcome.
$20 per half hour for members; $35 per half hour for non-members.

In-Person Registration only begins Monday, March 30 during desk business hours, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

CANCELLED: Red Cross Babysitting Course
Apr 18 @ 8:30 am – 1:00 pm

Get certified in this one day class and learn how to be a responsible babysitter.

You’ll learn how to supervise and entertain children of different ages, and what to do in case of emergency. Must be at least 11 by time of class. Non-members welcome but space is limited. Need more info? Contact Robb Elko. Financial assistance available.

Fee: $75 for members, $100 for non-members

CANCELLED: The Emotional Impact of a Chronic Illness
Apr 21 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Emotional distress is often present in patients who are diagnosed with a serious illness or medical condition. This can include anxiety, depression, medical trauma/post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). At this presentation we will discuss:

  • Seeking help: whether to do it, when to do it, how to do it?
  • Developing a “coping toolbox”
  • The role of caregivers
  • Pain management issues and desired outcomes

Here’s your chance to meet the people who make a difference in your community as we recognize individuals, educators and students for their volunteerism in our service area towns (Boonton, Boonton Twp., Denville, Kinnelon/Butler, Lincoln Park, Montville, Mountain Lakes, Parsippany, Pequannock, and Riverdale.) Tickets are available in early April through Nancy Dunham
