Leaders in Training (LIT) Travel Program 8th -10th grade
Building Future Leaders

The LIT Travel Program offers the perfect blend of adventure, responsibility, and personal growth for teens. With three exciting off-site trips each week combined with leadership training and meaningful service projects, this program empowers teens to develop skills that will help them succeed both now and in the future.

Teens will take on real responsibilities, participating in both the fun and the work aspects of the program. Whether it’s leading a group on an outing or engaging in hands-on community service, the LIT Travel Program is designed to bring out the leader in each participant.

Each week, teens will contribute up to 3 hours of service, which is a key component of the program. Service hours are documented, and letters of recommendation can be provided upon request by the

Camp Director in September, based on attendance and active participation.

Please note: Teens must complete the service component to be eligible for trips. Additionally, a code of conduct and orientation will be required prior to the start of camp to ensure a positive and respectful experience for all participants.

Our Inclusive Camp Program is dedicated to supporting the participation of individuals with disabilities and unique needs, creating an environment where every camper can thrive. We welcome children with a range of individual and diverse needs, including but not limited to ADD, ADHD, ODD, OCD, sensory processing issues, and spectrum disorders—to join our regular camp activities in a fully inclusive setting.

Through our program, campers will engage in all of the exciting activities with Day Camp, but with a customized schedule that caters to their individual needs. Each camper will be grouped with as many as 2 other campers with a dedicated counselor ensuring focused attention and personalized support.

Our counselors collaborate closely with our Camper Care Team to foster key life skills, such as social interaction (e.g., understanding winning and losing, personal space, joining groups, and reading social cues), and provide space for campers to take a break when needed, reflect, and rejoin activities when they are ready. The goal is to provide a positive, fun, and supportive environment where all campers can build confidence, form friendships, and enjoy summer camp to the fullest.

To ensure the best experience for your child, an intake form must be completed during the registration process (available on our website). Please note: Inclusive campers are not eligible for post-camp supervision, and space in the program is limited.

Inclusive campers will also have the opportunity to participate in theme days, special events, and camp-wide activities, ensuring they have a memorable and enriching summer experience.

Our CIT Program is ideal for teens interested in a career with children. Hands-on training under the supervision of camp staff allows CITs interaction with young campers throughout each day. Each week, CITs will work closely with designated staff members to engage topics like job preparedness, applying to college, group management, conflict resolution, and best practices working in the childcare field. Post supervision included with no extra cost for CITs.

CITs must apply for this program, call the Camp Director for more information and the application.
