School Age Childcare

The Lakeland Hills Family YMCA is offering childcare for students who are remote learning in a hybrid or fully virtual format. This program allows the students to maintain a classroom-like environment during school hours with some social & physical activities in the afternoons.

This all-day program will aid in supervised schoolwork with remote learning support as needed. There is also an opportunity for fun academic activities (i.e., math games and worksheets as well as literacy puzzles) for class breaks as well as quiet alternative activities including (STEM, Themed Crafts, Legos, etc.).

The afternoon activities are designed to support your child so you can have peace of mind knowing your child is in a safe, engaging, and structured environment that will set them up for success both in and out of the classroom.  Group spaces will be socially distant and face coverings are required.

OUR PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE:

  • Remote Learning Assistance in groups of no more than 8
  • AM Snack Time
  • Lunch /Fresh Air Walks
  • PM Snack Time
  • Afternoons will include a combination of the following:
    • 3-Times per week:
      • Active Games
      • Science Experiments
      • Craft Projects
      • Contests
      • Social Activities (Board Games, Card Games, etc.)
    • 2-Times per week:
      • Social Emotional Learning Activities (the process of developing the self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills that are vital for school, work, and life success) which include:
        • Expressive Art Lessons
        • Group Dance Instruction
        • First Tee Golf Instruction
        • Archery Tag Dodge Game
        • Youth Yoga Classes

Pricing for this program:

Tuition is based on 180 days of school evenly spread over 10 months. A half month is considered 9 days per month and a full month is every day.

Half month price: $495 / month for current-Y members: $510 / month for non-Y members

Additional days available at $49 / $51 per day from 9:00AM – 4:00PM

Additional days of pre-supervision available at $6.50 / day

Desired dates must be handed in to the program director no later than the 15th of each month prior.

Full month price: $990 / month for current-Y members: $1020 / month for non-Y members

Pre-supervision from 7:30AM – 9:00AM at $65 / month (half month): $130 / month (full month)

Teachers should use this email to get in touch with program staff during the day for immediate reasons (i.e., a student got logged off the class, the teacher cannot hear the student, there was a last-minute schedule change, etc.).

Riverview School will operate from 12:30PM – 3:30PM

During this program children will be in groups of 8 – 10 children with one adult counselor. The groups will be made based on grade level. Then each group in a grade level (up to 5 groups) will make up a neighborhood.

The program will consist of the following components:

  • Lunch Period
  • Recreational Play time in neighborhoods (outside blacktop or field – playground usage is not permitted)
  • Remote Learning Assistance
  • Small Group Activities (Board Games, Crafts, Science, Team Building, Puzzles)
  • Assigned Hand-washing / Bathroom Times

Each group will be assigned a home base classroom where all program components take place (other than Recreational Play Time). This will help limit the commingling of children and assist in contact tracing.

Parents are required to provide the following for each child every day:

  • A labeled backpack

To register for Kids Club click the Kids Club blue tab above and pay the deposit fee. The deposit will be applied as payment for the last month of enrollment  – typically June, or, any month if you leave the program mid-year provided one month notice is given in writing.

Registrations are not complete until all required forms are received.
