Why not try our one-on-one training with a certified personal trainer? A trainer can motivate you, teach you new techniques, and help you achieve your fitness goals.  Fitness Evaluation required. By appointment only.

Email us at personaltraining@lhymca.com, or call Fitness Director, Anthony Shovlowsky at ext. 40 to discuss training options, but download or first pick up a personal training form to be completed before making your initial appointment with one of our certified personal trainers.

Personal Training Programs:

Fitness Evaluation

Learn your current level of physical fitness and find out how to improve it. A Fitness Evaluation includes:

  • Body Composition
  • Measurements
  • Cardiovascular Endurance
  • Flexibility
  • Muscular Strength/Endurance

Evaluation takes approx. one hour and preps you for Personal Training. Call ext. 40 for details! Cost $55  Pick up the necessary forms in the fitness area before making your appointment.

Personal Training

A trainer can motivate you, teach you new techniques, and help you achieve your fitness goals. Prior Fitness Evaluation required. By appointment only. Contact director, Anthony Shovlowsky.

  • Half hour session – $30
  • One hour session – $55
  • 5 one-hour sessions – $250
  • 10 one-hour sessions – $475
  • Jump Start Package*: One 1-hour Fitness Evaluation plus two 1-hour sessions $135
  • Jump Start Personal Training plus Nutrition Package*: One Fitness Evaluation, two 1- hour Personal Training Sessions, two Nutrition Counseling Sessions $360
  • Start-Up Package*: One 1-hour Fitness Evaluation plus three half-hour sessions $125
  • Partner Training: Group Training runs for 7 weeks with 1 session per week (7 total sessions)
    • Two Participants – $210/person
    • Three Participants – $175/person
    • Four Participants – $140/person

Fit Kids: Personal Training for Kids

Ages: 7 – 11 Years Old

Mondays – Thursdays | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Our goal is to improve the overall health of our children.  We will provide all the training to accommodate any fitness level. First time participants or aspiring athletes will benefit from this newly developed program.  Our qualified staff will motivate your child through fun and challenging workouts.

Packages Include:
  • Initial Fitness Evaluation
  • Nutritional Plan & Journal
  • Customized Workouts

Choose From:
  • 1x Per Week for 10 Weeks ($250)
  • 2x Per Week for 10 Weeks ($400)

Bring a Buddy & You Both Save (Must Train Together)!
  • 1x Per Week for 10 Weeks ($200/Child)
  • 2x Per Week for 10 Weeks ($350/Child)

Nutrition Counseling

Are you confused about conflicting media reports on diets? Want to boost your sports performance? Do you know how to read a nutrition label? What are trans fats and why should you worry about them?

 

    Learn the answers and plenty more when you sign up for a Nutrition Package with our Registered Dietitian. Nutrition Counseling at the Y includes:

    • Initial in-depth consultation
    • Medical history
    • Goals
    • Follow-up session to review detailed diet analysis, summary of results and recommendations.

     

    Fee: $225. Additional sessions available for $30 per half hour. For more information contact Darlene at ext. 26.

    Small groups equal big results!

    Group training allows two or more individuals to get personalized, effective, and motivational workouts while saving money. You’ll learn proper techniques to work out more efficiently, and you select the schedule that works best for you!

    Choose one of these options or have one customized according to your preferences:

    • Kettlebells
    • Sport Specific (golf, skiing, strength conditioning)
    • “Welcome to the Weight Room” for those getting acclimated to weight training.

    Tell us what type of workout you want, along with the day, time, and if you have a trainer preference, and we’ll take care of the rest!

    Fees: 7-week session

    2 Participants ($210/person)
    3 Participants ($175/person)
    4 Participants ($140/person)
