YOUTH SWIM LESSONS

Confidence starts in the water.

Our year-round youth swim program helps children develop water-safety skills, improve technique, and progress at their own pace through consistent instruction and clearly defined skill levels.

PARENT AND CHILD SWIM

Start their swimming journey together.

Parent & Child classes introduce little ones to the water while giving parents the skills and confidence to support safe, positive experiences in and around the pool.

PRIVATE & SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS

Personalized instruction. Individual goals.

Private lessons provide one-on-one instruction, while semi-private lessons are designed for two swimmers of similar ability. Lessons are scheduled directly with the Aquatics Department based on instructor availability.

ADAPTIVE SWIM

Every swimmer belongs.

Individualized aquatic instruction gives swimmers additional support to develop water comfort, safety skills, confidence, and swimming ability in an encouraging environment.

ADULT SWIM

It’s never too late to learn, improve, or get back in the water.

Whether you’re learning to swim, refining your technique, building endurance, or training toward a personal goal, adult aquatic programs meet you where you are.

COMPETITIVE SWIM TEAM

Take your swimming to the next level.

LHY Swim Team gives swimmers opportunities to strengthen technique, set and achieve goals, compete, develop discipline, and experience the belonging and relationships that come from being part of a team.

YEAR-ROUND YOUTH SWIM LESSONS

Keep learning. Keep progressing. No need to start over each session.

Youth Swim Lessons and Parent & Child lessons are offered as recurring, year-round programs.

Families may enroll throughout the program year, and monthly billing makes it easy for swimmers to continue developing their skills without re-registering for every program session.

NEW TO OUR SWIM PROGRAM?

Children with previous swimming experience who are new to our YMCA swim program must complete a swim evaluation before registering so we can place them in the class that best matches their current ability.

Beginning swimmers with no previous swim experience may register directly for the appropriate beginner class.

Swim evaluations are offered Mondays and Wednesdays.

  • Competitive stroke refinement
  • Race endurance and speed
  • Starts, turns, and finishes
  • Introduction to swim meet formats
  • Swim meet rules and expectations

Water Warriors helps swimmers build the skills, confidence, and foundation needed to explore competitive swimming.
