ARCHERY

Ready, Aim, Loose!

Archery at Lakeland Hills YMCA gives participants the chance to learn a classic sport in a safe, structured, and confidence-building environment. Whether your child is brand new to archery or ready to refine their aim, this program introduces the fundamentals of shooting, safety, focus, and form.

Participants will learn proper range safety, archery terminology, stance, grip, aiming, and release technique while building patience, concentration, and confidence. Each class is designed to help archers improve at their own pace while staying active, engaged, and supported.

Archery is offered outdoors on our archery range during the spring, summer, and fall, and indoors during the winter, giving participants the opportunity to continue developing their skills year-round. Weekly themes, skill challenges, and friendly competitions keep the program fun and motivating for archers of all experience levels.

From first-time shooters to returning participants working toward their next bullseye, Archery at Lakeland Hills YMCA helps kids build achievement, belonging, and relationships one arrow at a time.

Volunteer Coaching Opportunities

We’re seeking volunteers interested in coaching youth sports. Our coaches make YMCA youth sports possible and create a lifelong impact on children by encouraging participation and emphasizing sportsmanship and strong character. When you become a volunteer, the Y will introduce you to coaching and provide resources specific to the sport you coach. If your child is a player, getting involved at their practices can help them feel comfortable to practice with you outside of official practice time.
