Leaders in Training (8th – 10th Grades)
Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
For older campers the popular LIT (Leaders-in-Training) Program provides teens with a balance of social time with peers as well as training components and volunteerism through community service projects. It is this balance that will give teens leadership skills to help them find success in the future. Teens are expected to participate in all facets of the program.
The LIT’s will have three all day trips on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (Six Flags, Water Parks, The Jersey Shore, Laser Tag, etc.). Most trips fall within the 9:00 am – 4:00 pm program times, however, there are some exceptions. See the LIT calendar mailed out in June for more detailed specifics (departure and arrival times, what to wear, lunch specifics for the trip, etc.). All campers must be onsite 15 minutes prior to departure times for attendance.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the LIT camp experience is composed of morning local trips, group time activities and community service projects with the Y’s Community Service Director.
All first time LIT participants are required to attend the mandatory Parent-Camper Orientation on Sunday, June 9 at the YMCA from 1:00 – 2:00 PM.
Per two-week session: $735* members*|$760 non-members*
*An additional $35 per child will be charged for the session 2 special camp trip.
Pre and Post Supervision included at no extra cost!
