At the Lakeland Hills Family YMCA, teens are valued and recognized for their potential as being happy, healthy, and productive community members. The Y offers programs for teens to build self-esteem and self-confidence, learn healthy lifestyle choices, achieve their personal and educational goals, and create new friendships and lasting relationships in a safe, supportive and engaging environment.
Fun & Fitness
Living healthy is about spirit, mind and body at every age and stage. Y's offer group fitness programs geared toward teens, sports, activities, teen nights and much more.
Teen Fun & Fitness Programs:
Teen Training Room
Ages 12 – 14 Years Old:
Open anytime after completing a special teen orientation accompanied by parent. Free teen orientations are held on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Sign up at the Member Services Desk or online.
Ages 15 Years & Older:
All areas open anytime with no restrictions. Teens 15 years and older are welcome to participate in Group Fitness and Spinning classes.
Teen Open Gym
12 – 18 Year Old Members Only:
Available for basketball shooting or half court games. Gym monitor may allow other activities as well.
Teen & Family Open Gym
Available for teens and their families who are members ONLY:
Recreational gym time available to teens and families. Children under 11 years must be accompanied by an adult.
